Build Explanation
The recommended build emphasizes on durability and cooldown reduction, allowing Fredrinn to stay in fights longer and frequently use his abilities. Guardian Helmet and Radiant Armor provide HP and magic resistance while Dominance Ice reduces enemy attack speed and adds cooldown reduction. Immortality provides a second chance in fights, Antique Cuirass reduces enemy damage, and Tough Boots add magic resistance and reduce crowd control effects, allowing Fredrinn to be more effective in his role as a tank.
Introduction
Fredrinn is a durable and disruptive front-line hero, adept at soaking damage and disrupting enemies. His skill set, which revolves around generating Combo Points and using them to unleash powerful abilities, allows him to be highly flexible in fights, either focusing on controlling key enemies or soaking up damage and protecting his team.
Early Game
Start with Piercing Strike to harass your enemy and last hit minions. Always look for opportunities to poke and reduce your enemy's health. Whenever possible, engage enemies with Energy Eruption to gain defensive buffs and reduce your cooldowns. Make sure to manage your Crystal Energy wisely, as this will significantly increase your survivability.
Mid Game
By now, you should have a few core items and be able to participate in team fights effectively. Utilize your Crystalline Armor to soak damage for your team and convert it into healing. Continue to use Piercing Strike and Energy Eruption to disrupt enemies, and save your Brave Assault for crucial moments where you can either secure a kill or escape a risky situation.
Late Game
Late game is where Fredrinn shines. With your full build, you can be nearly unkillable if you manage your Crystal Energy well. In team fights, focus on initiating with Brave Assault and follow up with Energy Eruption to taunt enemies and reduce their damage output. Use Appraiser's Wrath strategically to maximize its damage potential based on your stored Crystal Energy.
Hero Skills
Piercing Strike
Fredrinn thrusts his sword in the target direction, dealing 125( +7% Total HP) (+120% Extra Physical Attack) (Physical Damage) to enemies hit and slowing them by 30% for 2s. His next Basic Attack gains extra attack range and deals 85( +100% Total Physical Attack) (Physical Damage). This skill deals 150% damage to non-hero enemies.
Energy Eruption
Fredrinn deals 300( +100% Extra Physical Attack) (Physical Damage) to nearby enemies and taunts them for 1s. Hitting a non-minion enemy grants Fredrinn 30 Physical and Magic Defense for 3s and reduces the cooldowns of (Piercing Strike) and (Brave Assault) by 75%. This skill costs 1 (Combo Point).
Crystalline Armor
Fredrinn gains 1 (Combo Point) that lasts 5s each time his skill hits a non-minion enemy, up to 4 (Combo Points). His Ultimate costs different numbers of (Combo Points) at different skill levels. Fredrinn stores 100% of the damage he receives as (Crystal Energy), which decays after 5s at a rate of 10% Max HP per second. Fredrinn can convert the stored (Crystal Energy) into HP by 25% of his damage dealt (15% for damage dealt to minions). Gaining a (Combo Point) resets the decaying timer.
Brave Assault
Fredrinn dashes in the target direction, dealing 200( +80% Extra Physical Attack) (Physical Damage) to the first non-minion enemy hit. His next Basic Attack knocks the target airborne for 0.3s.
Appraiser's Wrath
Fredrinn slams his sword in the target direction, dealing 600 plus 35% of his (Crystal Energy) as (Physical Damage) to enemies in a fan-shaped area after a short delay. Enemies in the center of the area take 175% damage. Doubles the conversion ratio from (Crystal Energy) to damage dealt to enemy heroes. This skill costs 3 (Combo Points).
